Losing to War
So many wars, so little timeβ¦
a war on weeds
a war on illiteracy
a war on hunger
a war on cancer
a war on pests
a war on germs
a war on drugs
a war on racism
a war on intolerance
With a little ingenuity,
we can conquer nature
once and for all,
right, BASF-Bayer-Monsanto? Roche? Merck? Exxon?
And then thereβs the wars we donβt talk about:
the war on silence
the war on darkness
the war on ease
the war on rest
the war on joy
the war on generosity
the war on freedom
the war on art
the war on god
the war on spirit
We are losing these wars.
Indeed we are losing to war.
We have lost
the war on drugs.
Drugs won.
Big Pharma
(and their pocket media
)
have us. π
And we are losing the war on ourselves.
Suicide now claims more lives than wars, murder, and natural disasters combined

The enemy is within.
Our petri dish is a
COMPACT Culture
.
Born into a culture of death,
we grieve for our lives.
Martin Prechtel, Mayan elder poet Grief is praise because it is the natural way love honors what it misses.
